174 artistas del azúcar nos hemos unido por una bella causa y hoy les traigo el trabajo de algunas compañeras y el mío propio donde hemos utilizado el aerógrafo y de esta forma poder abrir la mente a muchas formas de usarlos, cada una con su estilo y con una pequeña entrevista que me da mucha ilusión compartir con vosotros.

I began motivated by a friend and then can not stop
until I decided to start my professional business in my Venezuela and
more than eight years ago. Now my work is teacher all my techniques.

¿Cuándo comenzastes a usar el aerógrafo para decorar tus
pasteles?
Creo que desde que me mudé a España hace seis años
comencé a incluirlo en mis pasteles a pesar de ser mi herramienta de trabajo en
las artes gráficas.
When did you add using
an airbrush to your cake decorating skills
I think since I moved to Spain six years ago and began
to include airbrushing in my cakes despite being my tool in the graphic arts.
¿Tomó las clases? ¿Cuál sería su consejo para
alguien comprar un aerógrafo?
Si realicé varios años de clases de aerografía cuando
estudiaba en la universidad hace cerca de 24 años y luego algunas clases
particulares.
Le recomiendo a cualquier persona que se inicie en la
aerografía comprar un aerógrafo según sean sus necesidades, pero siempre doble
acción y así tener mayor control del mismo. Si te dedicas a pintar galletas un
0,2 que es especialmente para detalles. Si pintas pasteles un 0,3 te permite
pintar fondos y hacer detalles, si solo quieres pintar fondos o trabajar con
chocolate de un o,4 o más. En cuanto al compresor depende del uso que le des
mientras mayores de superficie y rapidez mas grande sería el compresor lo que
si recomiendo es que sea de encendido automático y así tendrá más tiempo de vida
tu compresor

classes? What would be your advice for someone debating buying an airbrush
If I made several years when airbrushing classes in
college about 24 years ago and then some private class.
I recommend to anyone who want starts airbrushing buy
according to their needs, but always double action with this you have greater
control over it. If yoo like cookie paint is especially 0.2 for details. If you
paint cakes 0.3 allows you paint funds
and make details if you only want to paint surface or work with a chocolate the
best is 0,4 or more. As for the compressor it depends on the use you give him
as over larger surface and speed compressor would recommend it if it is
automatic on and so have more time to live your compressor

Adoro las tartas 3D tipo esculturas con estructuras,
modelados y tartas pintadas, pienso que mi estilo es alegre y colorido y con el
aerógrafo logro mayor impacto. El mayor tip es practica y practicar por ello
les digo saca el aerógrafo de la caja y déjalo a la mano como una herramienta
más de trabajo.

I love the cakes 3D structures such sculptures, modeled and painted cakes, I think my style is cheerful and colorful and airbrush achieving greater impact. The biggest tip is practice and practice. Not takes the airbrush in the box and leave it on hand as a working tool.

Como te iniciaste en la industria de las tartas?
Yo siempre amé hornear (Creo que es algo de familia familia), tanto mi madre y mi abuela siempre han sido panaderos. Please tell us how you started in the cake industry.
I've always had a love for baking (I think it runs in the family) both my mum and gran have always been keen bakers. It just started as a hobby and years later, after having my 2nd child, I decided to take the plunge and set up a business from home. I'm now into my 9th year of business.

I Haven't taken any classes, I just like to practice different things myself. I'd say definitely GET ONE!! You'll never regret it!
Tiene una técnica favorita o tip
Me encanta usarlo para añadir profundidad. Es casi como el pastel viene a la vida una vez que el aerógrafo se ha utilizado en ella. Mi consejo sería no llene la copa! Aprendí el camino difícil, que terminó con splodges Hughes por todo el pastel y tuve que empezar de nuevo!
Do you have a favorite technique or tip
I love using it to add depth. It's almost like the cake comes to life once the airbrush has been used on it. My tip would be don't overfill the cup! I learnt the hard way, I ended up with Hughes splodges all over my cake and I had to start again!

I think before I started using it my cakes would appear a little flat. By using the airbrush, you can add definition and shading to any cake, bringing it to life.

Mi inspiración fue un árbol cubierto de cintas rojas que encontré en un cartel para el Día Mundial del SIDA. Yo no quiero simplemente recrear el árbol, así que mi idea era tener el árbol para representar a la madre. Si se mira de cerca las ramas forman brazos que están acunando el embrión. El corazón y rosas rojas representan el amor de una madre por su hijo y las palabras esperan están por encima del árbol para desear la esperanza de una cura de un día.
Please tell us about your piece for Be Team Red and the inspiration behind it.
My inspiration was a tree covered in red ribbons which I found on a poster for world AIDS day. I didn't want to just recreate the tree, so my idea was to have the tree to represent the mother. If you look closely the branches form arms which are cradling the embryo. The heart and red roses represent the love a mother has for her child and the words hope are above the tree to wish for hope for a cure one day.

Most of the cake is airbrushed. The tree, flowers, and heart and I airbrushed around the tree too to try to give a haunting effect.

My piece is based on the Mother and child
infinity symbol with scattered red ribbons airbrushed on two tiers to symbolize
the chaos HIV causes.

El diseño sucedió por accidente. Estaba interesada en una tarta toda blanca con
wafer paper rojo en forma de las cintas en la parte inferior. Cuando las pinte
con el aerógrafo en una caja ame el diseño que quedo sobre la caja como un
efecto de stencil. Y entonces realice un stencil similar y pinte dos de los
pisos superiores de la tarta.
What is airbrushed on
your piece
The top two tiers are airbrushed. The design
happened by accident. I had intended the cake to be all white with wafer paper
red ribbons flowing down the cake. When I airbrushed the ribbons in a box I
loved the design that was left in the box, like a stencil effect. So I made
some stencils and airbrushed the top two tiers instead!

Como te iniciaste en la industria de las
tartas?
Dejé mi trabajo y me convertí en madre y abrí un salón de
niños con mi esposo y ordenaba tartas a un proveedor, ellas eran bonitas pero
tenían algunas cosas que mejorar. Yo soy maquilladora de artistas y deseaba
ponerles colorete y sombras de ojos a las tartas de princesas.
Decidí hacer una para unos amigos, dos para el salo de
niños y las madres las amaron. Innové la técnica sin saber cuando mezclé crema
de mantequilla haciendo tonos en degrade y añadí aerógrafo para las sombras.
Coloque las fotos en un grupo de FB y todo el mundo se volvió loco y comenzaron
a preguntar que si dictaría clases y así comencé.

I closed my former job/ company due to becoming a mom, and I
opened a kids parlor with my husband and ordered cakes from a provider, they
were cute, but the all needed a little "something" to improve I'm a
makeup artist and and I wanted to put blush / eyeshadow to the princesses on
the cakes ..
I decided to make one for a friend, a pull apart cak , with a
bike design and the loved it and then I made 2 for the kids parlor, and both
moms loved them, I innovated a technique without knowing , when I mixed
buttercream hues to make a color degree, and then I added airbrush to make
shadows ... I uploaded the pictures to a Facebook group and everything went
crazy. They started asking me for classes and so I began.

The piece I made: my dad received a copy of
painting by the time I was born. It's a mother and his baby. It's a great
emotional artwork and I have loved it forever. It moves me a lot in the sense
that I see so much sadness, calm and hope in their eyes.

¿Como te iniciaste en la industria de las
tartas?
Comencé en este mundo de la repostería creativa de un
modo autodidacta en el año 2005 realizando las tartas a mis sobrinos, de
ahí mi nombre tiavero12, a partir del 2010 empecé a formarme en Portugal de la
mano de la ANCD con grandes artistas internacionales del Cake Desing,
asociación con la que he participado en numerosos concursos logrando gran
cantidad de premios gracias a mis originales diseños y su gran limpieza de
ejecución.

started in the cake industry.
I started in the world of creative pastry of a
self-taught in 2005 making cakes to my nephews, hence my name tiavero12, from
2010 I started my training in Portugal at the hands of the ANCD swith major
international artists Cake design, association with which I have participated
in numerous competitions achieving numerous awards thanks to my original
designs and great cleaning performance.

Sí, he estudiado arquitectura, mi formación como
arquitecta me ha ayudado a la creación de muchas de mis obras dulces,

Yes, I studied architecture, my training as an

profundidad en las piezas y dar tonalidades cromáticas en degradados.

pieces and in color shades degraded.
¿Tomastes clases? ¿Cuál sería su consejo para
alguien comprar un aerógrafo
No he recibido clases específicas de aerografía, pero sí
lo empleé en un curso que me dio Mike Elder en Portugal y fue él el que me
aconsejó sobre modelos de aerógrafos. Yo lo uso aún para acabados muy
básicos pero mi consejo para los que quieran empezar es que lo prueben y
se sientan cómodos con él en la mano, y que sientan facilidad para manejar los
diferentes toques en el botón, que algunos modelos de aerógrafo básicos en
esto son poco sensibles y se hace difícil controlar el flujo de la pintura. Y luego como todo… a practicar!!!

classes? What would be your advice for someone debating buying an airbrush
I have not received specific kinds of airbrushing, but
I take it a course that gave me Mike Elder in Portugal and it was he who
advised me on models of airbrushes. I use even for very basic finishes but my
advice to those who want to start is to try it and feel comfortable with it in
hand, and feel easy to manage multiple taps on the button, some basic airbrush
models this is very sensitive and it becomes difficult to control the flow of
painting. And then like everything ... to practice !!!

así como los concursos en los que se realizan las tartas en directo ya que
me encantan los retos y trabajar bajo presión.

My passion is modeling in sugar and sculpted cakes, as
well as contests in which the cakes are done live and I love challenges and
work under pressure.

El aerógrafo me permite dar unas tonalidades degradadas
difícil de conseguir con otras técnicas, así como tonos en transparencia
sobre colores de base con lo que se consiguen efectos de mezclas muy
interesantes. Lo empleo mucho también para dar sombreados y conseguir un
efecto de profundidad y volumen en mis tartas..

The airbrush can give me a hard degraded shades to
achieve with other techniques, as well as transparency color tones base with what
effects are achieved very interesting mixes. I use it too much to give shading
and achieve an effect of depth and volume on my pies ..

Tenía claro desde un primer momento que quería incorporar
la Luna asociada a la figura femenina, ya que en muchas culturas se
vincula a esta con los ciclos femeninos. Tras ver imágenes de estampados de
telas de origen africano, me cautivó su fuerza de colores y la energía que
transmitían, así que quise incorporarlos en mi pieza, pero de un modo
diferente… Son como elementos casi planos pero con intención de crear volumen
y movimiento. Mi intención era hacer una pieza que diera una energía
positiva a todas esas mujeres que sufren SIDA y están gestando una nueva
vida… una composición por la esperanza a que en ese vínculo de madre
a hijo se transmita sólo todo lo positivo.

It was clear from the
outset that he wanted to incorporate the Moon associated with the female
figure, because in many cultures this is linked with women's cycles. After
seeing images of printed fabric of African origin, I was intrigued by his
strength of color and energy transmitted, so I wanted to incorporate in my room
but in a different way ... They are like elements almost flat but with intent
to create volume and movement. My intention was to make a piece that would give
a positive energy to all those women who have AIDS and are brewing a new life
... a composition by the hope that this linkage from mother to child is
transmitted only everything positive.

rojos, la Luna y la base, para darles profundidad y un mayor protagonismo
en la escena a esa tonalidad.
